E90 woes

Hi all,

I'm driving an 3series E90, 2007, and it has done me very well the last couple of years.

Over the past 2 weeks, I'm having what appear to be ABS issues, the symptoms are;

1. On the motorway and 2 dashboard lights appear, one was the flay tyre sensor (in yellow)
2. Another the small ABS sign, pulled over and turned the car off, starting it back up the lights disappeared.
3. Going round roundabouts was slightly juddery
4. This has become VERY bad over the last 2 weeks, to the point where driving in a straight line in low gear it does it constantly (I was away for 1 of those weeks, so haven't had the chance to take it anywhere).
5. This morning the aforementioned lights appeared and disappeared again.
6. I now HAVE to drive the car, having held the 'DTC' button for a few seconds to switch off all the ABS.

I'm booked in on Friday with a local auto electrical company, so am doing something about it. But wanted to ask if anyone has had any dealing relative to this, with an E90? If someone has, what cost/resolution was required?

I'm in no way a car buff, apologies if that above is a load of tosh! Explaining to the mechanic having booked in just now that the car was 'juddery' and I "think it's an ABS issue' was a little embarrassing :p

My MOT is next week, and I can only assume it'll fail as a result of this so want to get it fixed!

Cheers,
Tom

Thanks guys, it turns out (based on the diagnostics report) that it's a yaw rate speed sensor which is buggared.

The way the chap described it to me, is that the car thinks I'm constantly red-lining, and the 'judders' I'm experiencing are the car thinking I'm at full throttle due to this sensor being FUBAR'd, and as a result keeps applying the brakes. This happened originally going round corners, but now it's all the time and even in a straight line.

Now, looking on eBay these can be picked up anywhere between 35 - 125 beans, and are a plug and play device based on what I've been researching.
