EA access

When the latest sports games come out will they be included immediately? At the current price it's a good deal but when the new FIFA/Madden/NHL games come out nobody is going to want to carry on playing the older titles. Aside from the sports games which they have a monopoly over EA don't really have anything out that interests me.

I'll pass.

For the one or two EA exclusive games that I have any interest in playing, it's easier to buy them outright on a sale.

Thats a cracking price to be honest, but the only downside for me is I already own BF4 and PvZ on the XB1 and I'm not fussed over the sports titles at all. Probably cheaper for me to just buy the titles outright instead of maintain a subscription package long term, especially if it doesn't include DLC for games like BF4.

Microsoft is getting more and more desperate. That deal is great.. if you own an XBone.

And who owns one of those, amirite? :p

4 squidaroonies a month doesn't seem unreasonable on the face of it; depends on what service they're offering, what the game library is like, all that jazz. The fear I have is that they'll start gating off game content to require an EA Access subscription, like online multiplayer.

EA's whole sales strategy revolves around selling massive amounts of DLC. While this looks good on the surface, you can bet for every game they put on there, there'll be a silly amount of DLC, most of which will be a requirement to get the most out of the game, rather than just a fun extra.

I'm glad EA are finally starting a bit of innovation in the realms of digital distribution rather than playing catch-up with Steam at long last.

Shame it's not on PC though, and that they haven't really got an interesting lineup of games at the moment.

Can't imagine its going to include the latest releases, especially as it mentions giving you 10% off these. Anyway, EA suck etc etc.

Yeah, not that I use a PlayStation myself at the moment but I think their service offers great value, just not enough decent content from EA though.

This is now only £20/year - and has a reasonable back catalogue, plus 10-hour trials of new games. Does anyone already buy in, and do you feel like you're getting your moneys worth?

Isn't this just the same as Origin Access? Same price and same titles by the looks of it. Ok FIFA 17 and Battlefield 1 aren't available on Origin Access yet but no doubt that will come as all the other Battlefield and FIFA games are available. I have a subscription and I think it's great value.
