EA account hacked

Had an email from EA earlier saying they didnt recognise a pc which logged into my account and suggested That I change my password.
Logged in and went to change my password and the hint to answer was in Russian.
Tried to find a way of reporting it to EA and all the links I tried just took me to my account with the same Russian hint.
I then thought I would try "forgot password" at sign in and received an email link and successfully changed it.
Do I still need to report it, if so could someone give me a link
Thanks

I had the same issue as you.

Turn on two factor authentication and ask EA in their live chat to reset the security questions.

help.ea.com

Select the manage account option then hacked account.

That's easier said than done. Origin won't allow me to turn on 2FA because it never sends the confirmation code to my phone. And EA live support are useless as they have no idea and basically told me tough ****.

Thanks for the replies
couldn't turn on 2FA as the hint is in Russian again, so I translated it with my phone and the google translate app, unfortunately it was asking about the primary school I attended which I typed in but it didn't accept my reply, I don't remember putting it in when I first registered, it was quite a while ago though.
I suppose I will have to go on chat and ask them to reset it.

I had exactly the same, The Divsion in game was all in Russian, luckily I could remember the language options.

If you have Twitter ask EAHelp, or look for an email.

Hah mine got hacked about a week ago, exactly the same thing, security question was in Russian, oddly they didn't change my password though.

To be fair EA live chat was very good they sorted it straight out.

I wonder how it was done seems to be common looking at this thread?

I had this in the past, go on livechat and they'll sort it. IIRC I had to provide an installation key from one of the games on my account to verify who I was then they reset everything to me so as I could setup 2FA.

Reading some of the experiences people have with Steam support, Origin problems seem to be a surprisingly painless experience in comparison.

Yep. Live chat was great when my origin account was compromised.

Always keep an email record of your purchases as this is a good way of proving its your account.
I had someone trying to hack my account a while back they tried a few times and failed and Google Authenticator ultimately stopped them.
I've also got the backup email address option setup too just in case.
Only problem with the Authenticator is if you change your phone or it dies remember to set it up again !

whats steam support wait time these days?

I remember it used to take about 2 weeks to get any kind of answer

Sounds about right...if there's one thing Steam need to do it's to increase the human element in their support process rather than just trying to implement more support algorithms to keep things cheap.

I got it sorted out on live chat, was in contact with someone within minutes and a little while later it was sorted, excellent response from EA
The only odd thing was their first question "how are you Buddy", I replied "I'm ok thanks" lol, what they meant was what are you having a problem with, I'm obviously getting too old for modern talk lol

As previously mentioned, you need to set up your 2 factor authentication. I had my account hacked last summer. My details had been changed and all my friends deleted from my account.

Credit where it is due, I was in Florida at the time and EA were extremely helpful with sorting it out.

Get on live chat.

I had it recently where a Ruskie tried to order £3.99 worth of something on Origin. Security question in Russian too.

20 mins later they changed my password for me, I added the Authenticator and other bits and now all is well.
