EA - Electronic Arts - Origin - Rip Off?

I start this thread because I spent £80 on Battlefield 3 and £65 on SIMCITY.

I paid over the odds on dlc and it has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Thoughts?/Boycott?

To be honest, using that logic then steam is also a rip off a lot of the time. Generally you should avoid buying games direct from origin, buy codes from 3rd parties that register on there for half the price

I got BF3 premium for like £20, i know sim city codes go on here for ~£20.

Ea certainly like their money and although it is steep, their pricing does work. But thats the price you pay with ea. They do have some sales, which are ok, but nothing too competitive i'd say.

I bought Battlefield Premium for £20 and SimCity for £18 (still to much!).

Unless someone put a gun to your head you're the one who decided to pay ridiculous prices. Origin prices are often way over what you can get them for elsewhere, but some people are ........

Believe it or not mugs pay it..

You paid £145 for 2 games. Neither of which are great.

When steam summer sale rolls around, I'll be able to pick up 10 great games for 1/5th of that price.

...

LOL

I was upset... I asked EA for a refund but I was out of time by two days. I just feel they charge too much and to that effect I will never buy anything from them again. So yes I was a mug but in the heat of the moment I wanted to play the latest BF3 dlc, is that a crime?>

*edit this thread is not meant to pick on me for my stupidyness but the opposite, to stand together, as men?

They're a business, and as long as people will pay such redonkulous amounts for crap (case in point), then fair play to them for charging so much.

...

Origin have had some good sales, and £80 is ridiculous for any game - I'd expect a physical collector's edition with many extras for that price.

Hate to say it but people will only stand together IF they share the same opinion.

Unfortunately, nobody or very few will agree with you, as only you decided to buy the games at those prices knowing full well that the cost was high & now you feel it was too much.

Sorry, but you've only your self to blame on this as you should have done some research and looked for cheaper prices than Origin. Like I said, not many others will feel the same.

Yeah it's a ripoff, that's why I didn't waste £145 on 2 games. Especially SimCity, paying 65quid for that rubbish is ludicrous.

TBH it's your own stupid fault. 1 google and you can find them much cheaper. People are entitled to sell products at whatever rate they see fit.
