Forgive me if there is already a thread or I've missed something, it's new to me.

But EA on Steam now.

Seems a good thing to me, I have got Origin but I only use it for a few games. Seems there are some good discounts on some EA games at the moment.

Shift 2 Unleashed for a £5 is a cracking game. A mass effect 3 on Steam finally.

Will it require origin to be installed though ?

So it's pretty much the same as buying an Ubisoft game on Steam then?
With Origin instead of uPlay launching in the background.

It uses a different version of the origin launcher. Origin lite. Which uses less system resources - but there isn't really any point

Ah, I've seen that somewhere. So it doesn't include the store or friends or achievements or anything? EA should be ashamed of themselves. That Origin client hasn't evolved in years. They could have earned some good will in the PC community by just sticking to Steam DRM. Maybe in time, they will patch Origin DRM out.

Was going to pick up a few titles myself but they all got the origin crap in them, so no money from me. Once they remove it then I will buy.
