EA pretty much admit BF3 is coming

Yeah battlefield head ben cousins was interviewed and he kinda spilled the beans on BF3, altho i dont know where some people get their info about EA slipping up and confirming BF3 is coming out?!?!?! the domain www.battlefield3.com has been owned by EA since BF2!
I had a discussion about this on battle.no, we came to the conclusion that the reason battlefield have released so many different types of games, i.e heros, BF:BC 1 & 2, 1943 etc etc is to see what will work when they eventually bring out BF3!
TBH I don’t really want BF:BC 2 to come out for PC incase it kills the BF name, cos tbh BF:BC is full of buggs on the console on top of pure lag on multiplayer all the time.
Just look at their past, battlefield for xbox was completely different to the PC.
One things for sure if this game comes out my clan will be getting a server and going straight in head first!

Totally agree.
Do you know what annoys me, is how every1 raves on about how good COd4, i'm sorry but for gameplay BF2 literally has everything, no other game has been able to come close to this... Arma 2 attempted sumin but failed!

Holly ***p i just pre-ordered BF3 from game woohoo!
+ 1.... I did like that clip, and it sounds like they are gonna cater for the PC player, which is good news.....
It needs to have portable mortars, little birds, Chinooks, APCS, Hovercraft, 20 mile square battlezones, 128 players per map, Stingers.............
And be called something like..........point jops, coint pops, goind rops...........

I don't care if they just reskin current BF2 and add a few new lighting effects and maps or something. So long as they fix the horrifying netcode, I'll buy it.
BF2 is still the greatest game I've ever played, it's also the game with possibly the least effective bullets I've ever played too

If they port BF3 from consoles to the PC, it will be ****.
It will only have some degree of potential if they make it on the PC first, and then port to the consoles after.
BC2 was all well and good, but the maps don't feel like true BF maps, BF2142 and BF2 were bloody brilliant, massive maps, true BF style game play, and real dog fights in the skies. If you don't mind older graphics but want an amazing FPS game, I honestly recommend you pick up 2142 or BF2, the only bad things on those games is the hacks are everywhere since the support really for deleting them has vanished and come to BC2.

play on a decent clan server and hacks arent a problem, even bf 1942 is better than most modern consolized fps games
People are getting WAAAAAAAAY too optomistic about bf3.
Lets face it, BF2 was only as good as it was because the DC dev team had a large input into the game and thusly got shafted after it shipped, far as im aware only a couple of them joined dice in sweden the rest either disappeared or went to form "kaos studios" which churned out that awful frontlines:fuel of war.
Bc2 for the pc is apparently not a port but a proper pc game that uses assets from the console versions, textures models art etc. According to Dice Bc2 had a pc dev team. So realistically what makes people think BF3 will be so much better?
It will more than likely have a large number of the pc bc2 team working on it. It may or may not be pc specific, but people seem to have this mad notion that if it is pc specific then its gonna be "zomgawesome".
Fact is Dice has changed a lot since BF2, the team that made BF2 is nolonger at Dice save for a couple at most. I would say at best BF3 will be a game that will have better graphics than bc2 with hopefully some lessons learned from bc2.
And to me that doesn't inspire confidence especially with the issues that BC2 has had with stuff that makes you smack your gob in disbelief with certain issues that were missed. Does anyone else know that in BC2 the smoke screen for the tank when in a helicopter is meant to launch countermeasures? Well, its meant to and it wasn't that long ago that Dice figured out it wasn't working (and still isn't)....
Personally im not holding my breath for BF3, its probably a good 18-24 months away at best and we can only hope that Dice get the bc2 issues sorted and make sure the lessons learned are implemented in BF3.
