I don't honestly think EA have done anything good for the games industry to date. They're just set on maximising profits as much as possible, and if a game studios fails at that, they close them down.

Consider 2K Sports games to be wiped off the map. EA Sports will just about be the only option now

This is the main reason I am totally against the take over. Madden has been really poor the past few years and it is widely accepted that NFL 2K5 was far superior to the Madden counterpart.

Now with 2K sports releasing (American)Football games again I was hoping this would give them a shake up at Tiburon but now it seems there will be no need as the Behemoth will no doubt devour and destroy 2K sports.

On a side note, NCAA Football has been superior to Maddens for a good few years now if you're interested in college football. Gonna import that now I got a PS(region)3.

That's not a source that says Activision is worth more then EA. Plus it's a deal which hasn't been completed yet.
