I'm a huge fan of sports games, and I've played FIFA , NHL and NFL since I was 8 years old.
I've decided however to dump my console completely and put my money into pc gaming.
My gripe with EA is that they don't make enough sports games for the PC
I want NHL, NFL and boxing back on the console.
Do they not care about us hard core gamers?

Do you agree? What franchise are you missing?

i thought EA Sports were infamous for making dodgy games when it comes to quality. they seem to have many games out there but its missing quality to them.

I don't know how anyone can play them anyway, much rather go down the park for a kick about than play football on a pc/console. The games are just rehashes of the game before. A work colleague posted on facebook that he'd been playing the 2nd to last fifa game for week instead of the new one and hadn't even noticed.

I'm not saying your work colleague is dumb but it loads up as FIFA 13 not 12. If he forgot what year he was in as well I'll believe his overly exaggerated comment.

All games are rehashes of something else, it's progression not reinventing the wheel.
As for goin to the park I've just got in from American football practise and I can't now go and play football or hockey. I don't have skates and 10 friends to turn up with and the money to book the ice pads etc.

You want to play a fps do you think your a soldier join the army! No you play because they are fun and sometimes sociable with mates.

Fifa is pretty good on PC now.

i last played fifa 99 i think it was on the old playstation. i thought i saw something on the news a few months back about major bugs with the latest fifa game. i mean it was on bbc news and all which i thought was curious for them to cover

It was part of watchdog! Think it was based on console players and issues with online gaming.

FIFA 13 is a little different to 99 it's the first I've purchased in 5 years

well i would consider getting an up to date fifa providing the bugs are ironed out but as i got older though i prefered playing the football management games instead

EA dropped a large number of EA Sports titles for PC back when they dropped the PS2 versions. EA were being incredibly lazy and using the PS2 engines which were converted to PC back when the PS2 was first released.

When they dropped the games from the PS2, they dropped the PC versions, the last NHL game NHL 2009 was the last for the PC, which used the PS2 engine, and was woeful for the PC and the 360 version got updated and sold more..

They did continue with Madden for PS2, but dropped the series from the PC after 2008, basically no they do not really care about PC gamers..

They have released Fifa for the PC each year, but only since Fifa 12 I think did they finally update the engine, Fifa 12 and Fifa 13 have both been very good.

They released a very poor golf game a few years back, but generally EA sports games are considered Console territory..

Anyhow, with exception to NHL, NFL, Basketball, Football, golf and Boxing the rest aren’t missed, the nascar games were fairly poor…

I do miss NHL. Still buy fifa each year, despite it being on origin.

Wahst the player base like for fifa on PC? thats my gripe all the time sports games are usually dead on PC. Does kind of annoy me having to have a console to enjoy fifa etc but then people say its pretty good on pc now but i havent tried it so dont know.

Fifa 13 Ultimate Team on PC is crippled by cheaters. The market price of players is sometimes 5 times higher than on consoles. EA don't do **** all about it either as it was the same in Fifa 12.

Fifa 13 on pc is heavily bugged.
Seasons matches where you get unending black loading screens, or when you play with friends 1 out of a couple matches 1 player ends up on a a empty pitch as loading screen and you have to alt f4 and retry it again.

Game is fun while it works but is a pain in the ass most of the time. Also its heavily scripted.

the only issue i've had with FIFA 13 is the seasons mode, with games not loading. Other than that its been all good here.
I want madden badly and NHL and Boxing. I dont want to have to get a PS4 or Xbox23872734 in order to play sports games.

As for the amount of people that play FIFA its actually bigger than i thought it would be.
