Why is there 360 games in that list, I thought they used p2p so shouldn't be affected by these? Although I do remember Fight Night and NBA having separate logon screens where you had to accept an EA license agreement.

Most if not all EA sports games regardless of format are basically p2p, this includes PS3. EA host the servers where the game lobbies are but once the game is underway it is basically p2p.

And that is exactly why i don't agree with company managed multiplayer servers, when they want you to upgrade they take away a key functionality of the game.

I'd be interested to see how long they can do this for, does it not break any rules? selling a game as online multiplayer and then taking it away a year later?

I can see why they're trying it on with sports games, but burnout??? why should they be allowed to get away with this crap.

Edit* There even an 07 game on that list!

They can shut down a server whenever they want, providing they put up 30 days notice on the EA web site, it says so on the back of the box.

Quite poor really, i thought MS might have been able to twist them to keep some of the 360's open since it is a paid for service.

Saw Fightnight round 3 there and was like :o, though it seems as it's only for the xbox and not the 360 version.

I'd have to take a dump on EA's door step for that if they did it.
