EAC Configuration . . .

having now got myself EAC and the LAME codec's for ripping my CD collection I have a question . . .

Using the stadard settings - the encoder rips with a VBR - I want only the highest quality MP3 tracks so what are the main advantages of CBR @ 320Kbps?

I have found the correct string to type in to achieve this - what do people think?

CBR is unefficient, if there's a silence it still stores at 320CBR. So it's likely a lower bitrate VBR is better.

Although if you're ripping why not rip to lossless (flac?)

I can tell the difference between MP3 and flac.
