Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with solving wifi problems on Macbooks? I'll keep this brief and concise to make it easier to read.

My house:
Virgin Media 150Mbps.
Superhub 2ac
Dreadful packetloss usually solved by rebooting the laptop (disconnecting/reconnecting wifi)
Poor latency which is sometimes solved by a reboot (100ms)
My phone (Galaxy S6) has great ping and no packetloss

Parents house:
BT Infinity
Homehub 5
Dreadful latency (500ms is common, multiple seconds has been experienced) that is only solved when it feels like it
Often takes forever to connect despite being able to see the SSID. Disabling wifi often prompts it into action
No packet loss
My phone has great ping and connects instantly

Work:
Cisco leightweight wireless network featuring predominately 2700/3700/2800 access points
Works great when I bring the laptop in (admittedly not very often)

I can only assume Macbooks work OK with wireless from the 2 major ISPs? Otherwise they wouldn't be very popular. Likewise, I can only assume the ISP provided routers are OK as they work fine with my phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea how to use Macs as I bought one for a easy life and to be a user... ;)

Thanks.

Some speed test results.

Home:
MBP:2.7Mb down 0.6 up.
S6: 150/10Mb

Parents:
MBP 10/5Mb
S6: 44/8

Work:
MBP 90/90

I did see the odd packet dropped at work, but it is well below 1% and average latency is 10ms.
