Early Upgrades?

What is generally the earliest a provider will allow upgrades? Okay, i'm asking after i already know the answer - i went to T-Mobile the other day and was told i could upgrade a month early, is there any way to upgrade any sooner than that?

I'm on a ~£37 a month contract and have been for the last 15-6 months

Dont think so, a month is the norm

On my last contract (Orange) 3 months before was acceptable, but I think generally everywhere now is 1 month only.
