i have a iriver h10 20gb and my have sony in ear earphones have just broken, so im now looking for a new set of earphones

im looking for earphones under £20, with the best quality possible for that amount of cash, any recommendations?

Koss KSC-75. I don't think anything in the sub £20 area can match it from a sound point of view. To me, it compares favorably to £100-ish IEMs if isolation is not part of the equation.

If it HAS to be in-ear, non IEM, then the Sennheiser MX500.

If it HAS to be IEM, then the Creative EP-630 is getting a lot of prop.

whats iem??

both of those earphones look good, ill prob end up gettin them on the bay as theyre cheaper, plus the bay aint bad for products like these, they costa round £10

not so sure if i like da creative one, the texture of the rubber earpieces might annoy me

the creative Ep 630s are excellent earphones for there price. so good that 3 companies make the same earphones creative, seinheisser and razer all do these earphones in different names. my ep 630's can almost compete against my shure ec2's

Also looking for some in-ear type headphones for under £20 and I'm also rather new to what's on the market at the moment.

What does IEM stand for / mean? Is it some form of snug fit for external sound isolation? :o

Anymore suggestions?

i use Sony MDR-EX71SLB for my mp3 player and they are excellent. they are canal ear phones and block majority of the bacground noise. Because they go right inside your ear and create a kind of seal the bass is amazing. they come with 3 different sizes of ear plugs for the perfect fit. would definately recommend them.

The aforementioned CX300/EP-630 are generally considered better than the EX-71 though.

IEM stands for In-Ear-Monitor.. Just another way to say canal phones. Those that goes deeper into your ears and seals background noise.
