Hey,

I'm looking to buy a pair of earphones to replace the default iPod ones.

Any recommendations? Obviously looking for the best quality, hoping to spend around £30... Not sure how much these things vary in price/quality so if you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated!

Perhaps the Sennheiser CX300?

Thanks :)

I bought the CX300 this week from an online store for £16.50. Really happy with them although they are not comfortable with out music, it is like being under water or your little fingers in your ear creating a seal.

Sound quality is Dependant on the seal along with bass. I moved onto the biggest buds and get a lot more bass and better all round sound quality. You do hear your self walking, moving and breathing. This doesn't bother me too much.

Edit: It is now £17.10 at this place.

yep i got the cx300 for about £15...they are not as good as the shure e3c's i had before (much more expensive), but for £15 you really cant argue with the quality

What about neckband headphones?

I have the Sennheiser PMX 60 Backband Headphones, and i think they are great.

They are very comfortable and sound really nice and clear. £25 well spent.

I doubt anyone will have heard of these on this forum, and there's only one place that ships them internationally, but CrossRoads MylarThree. If you look on headfi these are being billed as giant killers. I got a pair for my gf and they're amazing for the price (I post under fini on there too so you can read my review in the main thread on it). To find the thread just search for mylar in the headphone sub-forum.
