****EARTHQUAKE!****

Hmmm must have been a good 10 seconds here, had time for me to wake up, think, then try and get back to sleep while it was still going on, so 10 seconds easy

I was playing Lego star wars on the PC when it started LOL. TBH, it was scary. Never experienced one first hand. It seemed to go on for ages even though i know it was only a few seconds. I remember feeling the shake, seeing my monitor wobbling violently and thinking wtf?

Went outside and saw a few neigbours, checked the roof etc. then went back to bed.

Barnsley btw.

Woke me up here in Nottingham when it started, (given how long it was supposed to have lasted for and how long it seemed to go on for to me). Wandered around upstairs to make sure nothing was about to fall down / off shelves, (mainly checked pictures as they were banging against the walls), but everything looked fine ... no one was running around outside in a panic so I just went back to bed and got the details from BBC Breakfast this morning :)

i was having really weird dreams then i woke up and everything was shaking i thought i was having a fit. i ended up convinced that i just was properly awake and it was just my imagination. wakes up turns on tv sees the news thinks hmmmm that makes more sense

Felt it here in North Wales, had literally gone to bed when the room started shaking. Were having new windows put so had a quick check that none had fallen out before going back to bed :D
