I want to covert 2 mp3's into .wav files as easy as possible, vista x64 compatible app please ;) .

Converted with lame, can't seem to play it now, wmp gives no codec found error, winamp just freezes eating up 50 % of my cpu allowing me only to terminate its process and vlc plays it but no sound is coming, it only plays for 3 seconds b4 it stops again, no sound at all coming through, the original mp3 is 2.26 minutes and the .wav is 24 mb, whatsup with this?
How can I convert one of my songs to .wav, I want to use it as windows logon sound...

i didn't know lame could decode as well? you learn something new..... :p

try audacity though. that should work no problem. it's an editor so you open the mp3 file and you can use file>export as wav. :)

Thank you ! Works perfectly now.
Odd tho, size is almost identical to the lame converted wav, just just off by 12 kb, yet the lame one doesn't work  .
Ahwell never the less, I now got myself a .wav windows logon compatible sound :) .

Out of Interest would you mind using this command on the file:

lame -t --decode input.mp3 output.wav

And let us know if that works cheers.
