This is driving me insane...

I have 2 DS4 controllers I would like to use at the same time via Bluetooth.

I have an Asus BT400 Bluetooth 4.0 adaptor. I specifically purchased this model and took the hit on the ASUS tax as it was on SCP support list and I wanted an as hassle free experience as possible.

Using windows 10

I have tried SCP and DS4WINDOWS

SCP worked well for a few times, but everytime I restarted the PC it would all loose sync and I would have to reinstall the drivers and such again, and eventuially it just stopped working for me for unknown reasons.

DS4windows worked great wired, but I just cannot get it working wirelessly.

I've tried using SCP drivers, using default drivers (though windows 10 updates them automatically to the newest drivers)

I dont know why I cant get this to work? I used to use a old version of SCP with my DS3 controller. I remember it being flaky and a pain to get set up, but I got it working back then after 20 mins of scratching my head when I needed it

Any help, or even suggestions on what is actually the best program to use and spend my time working out is much appreciated.

I use SCP fine with a ps3 controller and Bluetooth I using Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth 4.0 adapter because I read it was compatible with SCP.

I found that when I first started using SCP I needed to disable my on board bluetooth because it conflicted with the drivers. Does your motherboard have built in bluetooth?

For me connect after PC restart/power off I just press PS button and it auto reconnect.

I use my PS4 Controller wirelessly on my PC all the time - I use a program called "Input Mapper". Once it's all setup, it's as easy as hitting the PS button to turn on the controller and start using :)

But thanks for the idea

by refunding it and getting a xbox one pad

Yeah, brilliant. Thanks for taking the time to help

I think I might as well give that a go, ta

I was using DS4Windows but I heard a Windows update stopped it from working recently, not sure if that's the case or not.

I'll look into it, ta for the heads up.

Open device and see what the SCP list the driver has, when you restart check to see if windows is auto reinstall the stock bluetooth driver if it does disable auto driver updates in windows.

Not at PC right now to help you more.

Its listed as BCM92somthingsothing, and it stays the same after restart

I got rid of everything, started again. reinstalled SCP. It works ok the first time, then after I restart the PC I get this error pop up at the side of the screen after reconnecting the controllers

And then it wont ever work again unless I get rid of every trace of it, then reinstall everything, then it will work once until I restart the PC.

Yeah, tried different USB ports (though the bulk of the problems are on Bluetooth)

Honestly, I think its probably worth me just reinstalling windows at this point. I'm running a 24month old install that's an upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10, so its probably all the crap messing everything up I reckon.

Umm, can I just get a random windows 10 .iso and use my windows 7 key with it?

Don't believe you can now, the free upgrade has stopped.

God damn it, tried to play rocket league, forgot controller isn't working.

Currently reinstalling windows 10 which seams overkill but worth it if it does work. Got work tommorow but whatever.

Plan to poop though Microsoft's letterbox if it doesn't work ( or should I poop through Sony's?)

Wish me luck.

Reinstalling windows 10 worked. I guess I broke something somewhere :D

I'm using SCP now.

Glad you got this going. Might be worth noting. Sony are going to release a true DS4 compatible wireless dongle in the next few weeks.

If that is something you might be looking at, I found blue tooth via a USB adapter with a DS4 very hit n miss. The Sony adapter might be more robust?
