Easiest way to get iMac

The best thing happend to me today, I got iMac "24 2.66ghz version.

Long story short, in my appraisal I asked for faster PC to do video encode and the Sales Director got me and my team (3) 24" iMac's.

Well I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

This month we got Canon 5D Mark II kit, and x3 iMac's.

Now we have to show the money was well spent until the next financial year.

Yeah we did and it plays 1080p perfectly and renders pretty fast. The base 24'' is good enough for editing short 2-5 min HD clips but if you plan to edit video as a primary purpose maybe higher end is more suitable.

Not tried aperture but with lightroom and photoshop it runs very fast.

I havn't used old MacBook Pro so I couldn't tell you how much improvement you will see.
