I posted this in the Apple Software forum a few days ago and got precising 0 replies so I thought i'd give it a shot here.
I bought an iPad Air 2 recently and it's my first ever iOS device so i'm still getting used to after years of using Android devices.
I have a collection of mp3's, flacs, and mkv's on my home NAS that I would like to be able to play on my iPad but i'm struggling to figure out the best way to do this. I downloaded the VLC app and it detects NAS but wont connect to it for some reason and i've also tried importing my music collection in to iTunes and turning on Home Sharing but nothing shows up in the Music app.
I've done just about everything i can to get Home Sharing to work but my iPad resolutely refuses to show anything I added in iTunes on my PC.
If anyone could help out an iOS noob i'd really appreciate it.
Thanks
