Easiest way to test for bottleneck?

I don't think you need to test for it, without a doubt the mobo and older cpu will be the bottleneck.

That said there is always a bottleneck in every system and it depends on what you use it for whether or not the bottleneck will affect you.

For example 4K ultra/60fps you don't have a bottleneck.

1440p/144 fps you have a bottleneck.

Are you struggling in your normal usage?
 
You could set a custom resolution to 2160x1200 and run MSI AB with on screen displa showing GPU useage and CPU useage in several games and see if the GPU is sitting below 99%. That will show if there is a bottleneck.
