I don't think it'll be cheap (£500ish), but it'll give you 6900XT-ish performance for nigh-on half the price and last you a damn good long time.

The 7600xt replaces the 6600xt so check that launch price for an idea.

None of us know for sure if ethereum will go proof of stake before release or if a new covid variant will cause GPU factories to be short staffed etc. Or if electricity prices will put most people off mining. Or if supply will be plentiful so scalpers don't bother. Far too many variables for a better guess.

If there's tonnes of stock then £329.99.
If there's a series shortage then £499.99

I'd be happy with that, as you say good for some time at 1440p. My 5700XT was fine but had to for £850, bought an AV receiver and sub instead. My first hobby, target shooting, has seen similar high price rises. Huge demand in the US and constrained supply. Luckily unlike computing the hardware will last a lifetime.
