hey guys, I have an easycap capture card which im trying to use to record my xbox footage. I currently am using hdmi to connect my xbox to my tv and I was wondering if i could use a certain wire or converter to continue my 1080p connection but use a splitter or something to have it recorded aswell.

if you have any ideas, please post.

thanks.

Is your easycap one of those USB sticks with only a composite (single yellow) connection? If that's the case you'll need to play in standard definition for both xbox and PS3. Neither can output similtaneous SD and HD

Yeah im aware of that, its just ive seen videos of people using component cables from their xbox to an av input and using splitters from that, i know this works but only supports 480i defination. i was just wondering if there was anyway to split it from HD to SD to plug into the capture card. Thanks for the help anyway.
