Hi,

I would like to auto calculate the remaining credit limit if the cost of the order was £175 abd so on


cost of order credit limit remaining credit

5000
168 4832
200 4800
150 4850
175 =5000-175
168 = 5000-168
120

to cut a long story short, what formula do I use so that excel will also always let me choose the cell which has 5000 inside it? I thought i would use the $ sign ??

If you mean to lock the cell to the value 5000 then, (if 5000 value is in cell A1):

=$A$1

Can you post your formula if you dont get that ^.
