Hi there,

I was wondering if you guys can recommend me any easy pick up and play games. I was a fan of FPS, however am getting abit bored of them. Any recommendations?

FPS are one of the easiest genres to pick up and play because they are all pretty similar in terms of controls and the way things are displayed (natch).

I'd say Dawn of War is a fairly easy RTS to get into. As for racers, NFS:MW is a good arcade jobbie.
 
Command & Conquer: The First Decade.

The C&C games are pretty simple RTS games to play and the campaigns are legendary.

I agree with that - C&C games are great for easing you in to RTS games
 
Rise of nations is also great fun for an rts.


Maybe mafia as it's more like a GTA style game, but set in the 20's (I think.. close to that) which can be more entertaining.
 
Any of the Popcap games - they're really fun and you can jump in/out of them and save your place.

Something else like Warcraft III is brilliant. There are not a lot of units/buildings so you are not overwhelmed by choices like in most RTS. It's got a good story too.

EDIT: P.S. What is Grid War 2? Google knows nothing about it.
