Easy questions maybe... cooker hood venting

Quite simple questions that I think I know the answer to but thought I'd ask people with experience!

We're installing a new kitchen and looking at moving the positioning of an extracting cooker hood about a meter or so from where it currently is. It's currently an extracting one. As I'm not having any wall units in that area, I'm unable to box the ducting in so will have to go through the wall again.

On to my questions:

Who is the best person to actually cut the new hole? I was thinking maybe a plumber as they do this for for flues. I was planning not to use a kitchen fitter.

Where the hole is on the inside, is it just a case of plastering it or do I need something more substantial to go in? (I assume it's probably a 125mm-150mm hole)

I can't do much to repair the outside as the previous owners butted the lean to garage roof to the house close to vent so will have to leave as is. I assuming two holes relatively close to each other on the outside brick work aren't going to cause my house to fall over? (said tongue in cheek but I'm suitably paranoid :D)

Aside from this, the other option is to ignore the extracting option and just go for a recirc option to save me pennies - not sure if this is a good idea though!
