A few weeks ago,, we visited the Arcade Club in Bury, and my daughter loved playing things like Ridge Racer.
She wasn't great, but because the walls guide you back on to track, she could play and enjoy.

She would love a go on something on the Rift and with my steering wheel - but I only have Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa and PC2 - all of which would be way too challenging for her.

So is there anything very arcade like and forgiving that will work with a rift and a g920? She doesn't need to be able to win, but to be able to get around the track.

Isn't there a free version of the latest Forza available? (Horizon?) I seem to remember that being quite simple in terms of gameplay when I tried it!

Although I doubt its compatible with the Rift!

How old is she?

No idea if it's compatible with rift or steering wheels but F1 race stars is for young kids and is basically impossible to get stuck on. You can just hold finger down on the accelerator and get round the track albeit slowly

If she is a bit older maybe try the full F1 games. You can turn on brake assist, ABS, racing line overlay. These will be compatible with your wheel

Just teach her to follow the green line and brake when it turns red, could even set it up I'd imagine so she can never go full throttle so it's all a little slower for her to learn with.

My nephew was 4-5 when he started playing these, never really got on with race stars as it was too easy but managed just about with F1.

that arcade club is brilliant. i dont live far from it. after going there i ended up buying a rift

It's about an hour for me. But I'd agree it's excellent, and I also bought a Rift right after visiting. :D

The real highlight was playing Ivan "Ironman" Stewart's Super Offroad with a couple of friends though. That game still holds up as really playable and fun.

DolphinVR/PPSSPPVR as long as you own the original titles of course (If the controls don't map directly use something like x360ce)

Then try games like Mario Kart etc.

Live for Speed is a more realistic but great first racing game, and is free in demo version (3 cars/2 tracks), you can see your helmet in the mirror in VR, 2 slow cars to start with auto gears. You could set up a local LAN game and drive around with her...

I have the full S3 licence, and on the open config layouts I play hide and seek with the kids in the slowest cars in the game...
