Just wondered what's the best performing Air CPU cooler that's pretty easy to install?

Some look very fiddly, especially if you don't have the biggest case in the world.

i would suggest something like the prolimatech megahalems then as that is one of the easiest to fit on that socket. although it uses a backplate the mounting system on the front side of the motheboard is easy to fit and because of the shape of the fins it is easy to screw onto the mounts.
the review of the cooler is here - http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2481

just remember to get a good fan with it like the akasa apache

depends what you mean by easy,

at first I chose an Akasa nero because you don't have to take the mobo out, but it takes ages to put in correctly.

then I switched to a Venomous X because the nero kept falling out when I cleaned the PC and I ended up breaking one of the pins, and although you have to take the mobo out (which is a good 6-10mins extra taking it out and putting it back in) it is very easy to install

The fan clips were a disaster to work out when I first got mine, its seems so easy now :D

I just purchased a Thermalright HR-01 X for my 1156 CPU. I contacted Thermalright about wether it would fit the 1156 socket and they said yes with a 1156 Bolt through adapter which they sent me for free!!

Got it all fitted and works superbly. Idle temp never goes above 24. Not stressed the CPU yet.
