I'm hopefully getting the pieces together for my rig tomorrow and am after a cooler for a E6300 thats pretty easy to install as its gonna be my first build. Something that will take me to 2.50GHz as I'd be more than happy with that for now ;)

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro uses the standard attachment method and it will take you as far as any air cooler. Maybe not perfectly silent, but an excellent, easy to fit cooler. And it's cheap.

Cheers, I might give that a go. An OEM E6300 and a freezer pro is around the same price as a retail E6300 so I suppose I can't really go wrong.

As well as the stock cooler, the retail CPU comes with a 3-year warranty. The OEM CPU has only 1 year I think.

I would go OEM+AC Freezer 7 Pro though.
