Hi guys, is it easy selling V1 Iphones at the moment? Not bothered about profit, just want back what I paid for it.

Best time would be to sell it now, while no-one knows whats happening with the 3G. Due to the contracts on the 3G most people will want to get the first gen unlocked.

Best time would have been just before the release like I did, sold it for £255. They are probably going for considerably less now.

someone here sold one for £300 yesterday.

If it isn't in the shops, a lot of people wouldn't know it's came out/going to come out. I bet 99.99% of the population don't even know what a keynote is.

If anything, I would expect them to stay the same, if not go up.

CPW didn't know, so what chance does the general public have?!

They are fetching the same money, lots of people want them now they know about having to sign up to the crap contracts for the V2, along with the dissapointing V2 extra features.

I feel you did badly at £255, there are some on now with 6 hours left on £285 2nd hand with marks on them!!

I'd have got more with bidding, but I allowed buy it now with best offers, so just accepted at the first offer I got. I'm not bothered by how much I got for it to be honest.

£255 might be lower than the others, but it is still a great price if you think about it. Bought, I am assuming for £269, thats not bad at holding its value!

I've an original November 9th (release date) 8GB iPhone. Been used on an O2 official iPhone contract since then. Fairly good condition, back has a few scratches and one fairly big scuff next to the headphone jack.

Would anyone reckon I could recoup all of, or some of, the £100 I need to upgrade to an 8GB 3G iPhone, or even the £159 needed for the 16GB Upgrade? These prices being quoted are far higher than what I'd expected!

Yeah, stick it on for £200 buy it now as a minimum. Seriously, you will get more than you expect!

My IT teacher (who's literally only 12 :p) put his Mint 16gb up on a buy-it-now of £300 (inc P&P) and it sold within a few hours yesterday..................... his iPhone was properly mint though, as he lost his original 8gb last month and the 02 insurance replaced it with a brand new 16gb  so the one he sold was only a month old.
