Easy tune 6 or coretemp?

I've got both these running as easytune can let me adjust my cpu fan.
However core temp is reading about 8 deg hotter than easytune.

Which one should I trust?

I would go with core temp, easytune maybe reading socket temp or general cpu temp rather than actual core temps.

What cpu are you using.

E6230, running at 2.8GHz, standard voltages.
Just the FSB pushed up to 400MHz.
It is a Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR board so I though as its a gigabyte board and gigabyte software they would be the best, most accurate, reading.
As I want to contorl the cpu fan should I try speedfan as that gives temp and fan control?
