Afternoon,

Other than not having full control of how you setup your overclock are there any other draw backs of using the Easy Tune software that comes with a Gigabyte Z-77 UD3H.

Plan on doing a bit more stability testing but I set it to 4.4Ghz and ran Prime 95 for 15mins and seemed ok. Hit 65°C max so tempted to try higher if its stable after a 2 hours Prime 95 run.

I found the Easytune6 three presets did work, but the auto tune function was poor and sometimes locked the PC up.
 
Originally had it installed to control the CPU fan, but then uninstalled it as my fans are pretty quiet anyway. Only software I have installed from the Gigabyte disk is the touch BIOS for the Z68 board.
 
Once CPU fan idle/load fan speed is set you can remove ET. It lets you setup the fans but doesn't actually control them ;)
