'Easy' video editing software

Does software exist yep where you feed it say 10 short movies and it compiles it (maybe with basic edit options) into one long movie?
Something similar to the short movies iPhone software creates automatically from photos

I've got loads of footage over the years of nights out, festivals and holidays but most goes unseen because there are so many short movies burried in 300 odd folders. It would be good to have a 'X holday' or 'X festival' where it's one movie of maybe a couple minutes of great footage.

I know software like Adobe Premier pro exists and did try using that or something similar years back. It ended up taking too long deciding on clipping parts from films, transitions, normalising it all etc. and have up after maybe 2 hours of messing around.

Paid or free is fine

@Guest2 The Windows 10 video editor does have transitions between clips/photos, I've previously used it for basic work. Also Microsoft recently released another video editor, ClipChamp available from the Microsoft Store.

If you want something that is free and professional, look at Davinci Resolve, it is free but it will take a bit of learning to make use of it.

Am i just being blind? I cannot find a transition option on the storyboard. Is it hidden away somewhere?

Isnt windows movie maker now just 'photos' / 'video editor' (the same thing)

Edit - Clipchamp works perfect, drag a transition in e.g. 'Cross Blur' and it just works.
