Righty ho,
Is there an easy way to do this:-
I'm thinking of changing motherboard from a Nvidia 610i chipset to an Intel P965 chipset.
I know from yrs ago that this usually meant a full re-install, is there any way around this now?

Regards

I went from p35 to p45 without doing a reinstall and it's been running perfect since but it's not really as big a jump as you are making.

Update:-
Did this and it was pretty easy.
Uninstalled eveything Nvidia before changing anything.
Turned off and swapped out mobo and parts.
Plugged everything back on and powered back up. Machine re-booted just prior to entering Vista and then booted as far as the repair screen.
Did a repair, rebooted and Vista loaded, my "old files" were put into a folder.
Have stress tested the pc and it appears to be fine.
Cheers for the help.:D
