I've tried both Itunes 8 and Media Monkey...

When i import my music collection into the application. It groups each album as "album name - track artist"...

...so for example, i have the Juno OST....

...when I go to album view, there are about 14 separate albums for each of the separate artists on the album.

So how can I group them all together into one proper album? and not this ridiculous "different track artist = new album" rule.

Cheers :)

for this to work all the album tags per each file on the album have to be exactly the same. if they are already the same but your pc is being stupid; simply go to folder Juno ost then ctrl+a right click on one of them and edit the album tag so that there all the same then import them back into mm or itunes.

Thanks for the reply..

The "Album" tags are exactly the same.

When i rename the "Artist" tags, and make them all the same for one album, then it gets recognised as "one" album.

So it's deffo because the "Artist" tags are different... Which is utterly ridiculous, as many albums have various artists.

Not sure if this will work, but you could try a mass mp3 tag editor, and setting the Album in every idv3 tag. That might help media monkey/itunes/whatever sort them more correctly.

If you select the tracks in iTunes and then click "Get info", you can set compilation to Yes, which will class it as one album.

lol....

anyway, have you got any albums with Various Artists? is it creating multiple albums for each artist on the cd?

I hope i'm not alone.. :o
