Easy way to unblock a toilet?

Got to the stage now where repeated sodium hydroxide flushes have failed. Don't want to have to do anything that involves physical contact with aforementioned toilet or anything else involving a remote chance of microbial contamination, any solutions ocuk?

I honestly never had this problem before one of those "eco-flush" toilets was fitted. Not really much economy if you have to flush the toilet fifty extra times. In any case I'll give the hot bucket of water a go.

It cleared pretty quickly after pouring a couple of huge buckets of water down the toilet. In my next bathroom I think I'm just going to get a latrine fitted.
