Easy website creation tool

Whats a good but easy to understand website making tool? Im looking to only create a basic site with maybe a couple of hyperlinks to other pages. I'd prefer a free program too if thats possible?

I did have a look in the sticky but there is too much info and i dont know where to begin.

if you have the MS Office package, use frontpage. Else you can use publisher iirc. Failing that use good old notepad and learn some basic html

If you just want something really simple you could use http://pages.google.com

Sign up for a google account and you can make a site using their page builder, which is all visual based so you can just move stuff to where you want it.
