Hey folks,

My mate is looking for some very very simple website design software to design and make a website for himself.

Now, hes a drainage engineer so does not know anything about the tinternet so he needs something really easy that he can use.

Any ideas?

I have found Serif Webplus to be excellent: http://www.serif.com/webplus/

I tried several web design packages as a complete novice a couple of years back, and this is the one that really let me get creative without having to know a thing about html. It's very intuitive, has loads of templates & design options, but it also has plenty of advanced options for when he gets more confident and adventurous in what he wants to create.

Just as well you didn't post this in the HTML, Graphics + Programming section - You would have had them screaming in uproar to use Notepad!!. :p

Webplus isn't a bad package for a complete novice. It also has the advantage that is is relatively inexpensive compared to other WYSIWYG editors available.

He should put a post up on gumtree and get someone to do it for him for nothings.

In my opinion a bad website is worse than no website at all.
