Hi all, I've just updated the Gigabyte apps that came with my board (Z87X UD5H). I've run Auto Tune and it's given me a stable 5Ghz OC from an i7 3.5Ghz (4770K) and my GTX780 from 1200Mhz to 1600Mhz.

I've just checked and Windows and Nvidia control panel have it down as 3.5Ghz still and the header on EasyTune has it as 3.7Ghz.

I tried downloading and installed CPU-Z but it just got blocked by AVG, false positives?

Does this AutoTune simply tell you what your CPU is capable and then you have to set the clock manually, or does my CPU throttle back when not underload?

Is there way for me to actually tell that it goes upto 5Ghz at any particular point in use?

Run prime 95 ur cpu will not run at full speed if not under load, not sure about gpu, find direct gpuz and cpu z link or use realtemp.

When using easytune make sure you apply changes

it wont stay at 5.0 if you run Prime, it'll crash in about 2 seconds and default back to stock, that Easytune isn't overclocking your pc properly.......... you need to do it via Bios

if you carry on using Easytune and test it via Prime you wont be able to get above 4.2, because Easytune gives you far too much Voltage and Prime will overheat your CPU within 20 seconds, you'll only get to 4.7 via Bios and with the Voltage set low.

download Gigabyte Tweak Luncher 2, that'll tell you what's going on
