Hi, im a complete noob and am too scared to fry my computer by overclocking. Easytune seems like a watered down way of overclocking. If i used it could i get to maybe 2.5 ghz? Also what are the risks of using it. I dont want to push it too far just a wee bit.

i pressume it is a software overclock... so i would not recomend it, someone else probably knows why, i just picked it up somewhere.

it shouldnt be that hard to overclock via the bios. Set the htt multiplyer to 3 or 4 up the voltage on the cpu and ram, put a divider of 166/200 on the ram. then jsut increase the fsb at 5 at a time... then test to see if it works.

i had the same problem mate, i didnt want to fry my amd 4400X2

but. what i just went for it one day and it worked i managed to overclock, and its one of the best things i did.

like in post above just go into bios and clock it up a bit :)

do i need to find max fsb? i just want a bit of an overclock so could i just use the finding max cpu clock speed, increasing fsb and reduce ram divider then test. As soon as it gets to 2.5 ghz i stop. 2.5 ghz will more than do me
