I use Gigabyte EasyTune5, as I like the way it controls the fan speeds. I’ve tried Speedfan, but can’t get on with it. For monitoring temps, I use TAT.

Since upgrading EasyTune5 to the latest version a couple of days ago (via the update button), I receive the following warning each time I boot into windows.

Warning!!!
You CPU has been changed, the setting will return to default!

I’ve reset my overclocking settings to default and still receive the message. Has anybody else had this problem and found how to resolve it? Alternatively, are there any other programs other then Speedfan which control fan speeds?

Thanks.

The bios is the best 'program' you can use for overclocking and fan control, once you get used to using it I guarentee you will not bother with easytune or any other windows based overclocking utility again(except perhaps clockgen but that another story).

Thanks w3bbo. I overclock via the bios, but find the fan control via Easytune useful, as it gives more more control over the fan speeds at idle.

As far as I can see, I either have to set the CPU fan to full speed by disabling thermal control in the bios or allow the bios full control of fan speeds, which means the CPU fan is set lower than I would want.
