Going to Dublin next year with a few girl mates and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for any restaurants in the city?

Budget is not too much of an issue as we have ages to save up, but we would like something chic and classy - but not old fashioned :)

We didn't really eat evening meals because the Guinness was too filling :o

You must to to the top of the Guinness factory though.

Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud has been reccomended very highly to me in the past, but comes with prices to match...

Agreed! Do the Guinness things and then stumble to the nearest burger van, food in Dublin is expensive so the less you eat the better...

Agree with the top floor pub at the Guinness place - great view.

I had a cracking pub meal in The Brazen Head, Ireland's oldest pub (opened in 1198). Was a bit cramped but had a good atmosphere and good grub.

Disclaimer: I was there 8 years ago and accept no responsibility if it's turned crap since then :p

Thanks for the tips guys

I am not sure if the girls will go for the Guinness Storehouse though :D

Basically its a group of girls who are all celebrating 30th Birthdays in 2014 (except me cause I will only be 29 lol :p) We are going over Paddy's Day weekend plus 2 days after (Friday 14th - Tues 18th)

Can no one recommend a good cocktail bar maybe? lol

Marco Pierre White's steakhouse was pretty good when I ate there last month.

There is also a nice thai restaurant called Saba.

It's not even close to a classy restaurant but at some point on your trip you've got to try out Eddie Rockets, the best fast food I've ever eaten!

Funnily enough I went there on my last trip (I travel to work in Dublin frequently) and thought it was pretty decent. Busy though, had to wait for a table.

Paddys day + classy = DOES NOT COMPUTE

Bring beer, drink in streets, colour self in green and see what happens...

Ha lol!

We are planning on doing this sort of thing on the Friday - Sunday. Then most of the group are heading back home where as there is probably going to be between 2-6 of us staying on till the Tuesday.

This is really recommendations for the Sunday evening onwards :) We are going to *try* and ramp up the class :D

Mmmmm Eddie Rockets.

When I lived in Cardiff there was a place called Ed's. It was a complete rip-off of Eddie Rockets so I assume it's the same business.
They have many locations around Ireland and in Dublin itself.

Personally, I would recommend the Thunder Road Cafe in Temple Bar, Elephant and Castle in Temple Bar too.

If I think of a few more I'll post them. In work atm :(.

Peploes on St Stephens Green is one of the best restaurants ive ever been to, really good food there but it is quite expensive though. They also have a mahoosive wine list.
