I bought a used PC

Ryzen 3900
MSI RTX 3080 10GB
Asus prime x570-p
Corsair tx750m

I've already fixed a few issues ( 1 x dimm in the incorrect slot) and cpu fan mounted the wrong way round...

Anyway the motherboard manual states EATX12V_1 (8pin) & EATX12V_2. (4 pin) but the psu only has the EATX12v_1 plugged in. I seem to be missing the 4 pin cable from the psu to the motherboard.

As its only a 65w tdp is this right ?

Your PSU has only one EPS connector. EPS connectors can split into two (4+4) for four pin EPS sockets.

iv read horror storys of people not plugging all the power connectors in, maybe get a new psu and dont overclock the cpu

tdp isnt power draw
tdp is thermal design power, thats a heat rating apparently

A single EPS 8 pin can deliver well over 300watts. That’s enough to run 4 Ryzen 3900 chips.
