EAX On Call Of Duty

I can't get eax 1,2,3 to work on call of duty.

Has anyone else had the same problem and fixed it?

I have a x-fi xtreme gamer sc and vista 64

Is the card set to 'Game' mode?

yep.

I bought the card because of the poor support of a xonar DS.

Eax is enabled now in Doom3, so its an improvement atleast.

I'm being anal, I know, but I'm entitled to be given the £70 I spent.

You need to run the Alchemy Program and select Call of Duty.

It should work then, and once you've done it there's no more fiddling with settings like on Xonar.

Note: setup is a bit more fiddly for anything using Steam. Use the instructions for steam games in the link if using the stam version.

thanks for that, I looked on the alchemy website for compatible games, after a google search, but it didn't load properly. I'll try again

I'm an idiot. I downloaded ALchemy and expected it to make everything work. :confused:

Trust me, COD 1 and 2 need Alchemy. COD 4 doesn't require it.

If you're playing 1 or 2 just run the software. You should have installed it with the rest of the X-Fi stuff.

Eax 3 is now working thanks.

I thought alchemy was like a driver, not something that patched games, so I didn't run it!
