Ebay Account hacked

This happened to me a few months ago.

I had logged into my ebay account via a spoof Ebay email telling me I had a question from a buyer and did I want to respond. I clicked the "respond now" button instead of logging in directly through my internet browser - bad mistake, though luckily nothing much came from it apart from some Warcraft cards being advertised through my account!
 
Just had the account restoration email too. Just seems to have been the emails that the account was used for.
 
There was a big ebay hack a while ago I seem to remember, could be something to do with that?
 
I had to go through a procedure with Ebay. My account was hacked and it was used to send messages to other ebay users, ebay i think called it Phishing?
