Something very strange has just happened. I used a certain email address which I only used when ordering items from ebay, almost nothing else. I started getting spam messages, so on 26 Dec 2020 I created a new email address and started using that. I pay for items from eBay using PayPal. I ADDED the new email address to my PayPal account.
Today I’ve just received 572 emails back into the account I no longer use and 101 emails from PayPal addressed to the account I no longer use up to and including 26 Dec 20.
Please: does anyone have any idea what might have happened and what action I should take?
I didn’t want to close the old account (Virgin) because Virgin are no longer supporting new email accounts and I thought that if that account stopped receiving spurious emails I’d be able to use it for another purpose.
