ebay apple screen repairs

Hi

Had a look on ebay and find it strange why people are repairing these phones so cheap, I mean the part is on there for around £20 and this guy is doing it for £26 and free return delivery.

Either hes a bit simple in the head and likes working for nothing or something more sinister going on with peoples phones and data?

Maybe he sourced the screens from a supplier directly and saves money that way? Or maybe he has the proper kit to replace ONLY the glass on the front of the screen, in which case he'd only be spending about £2 on parts per repair. (Although the equipment he must've bought if this were the case would be significantly more expensive).

It does say lcd replacement on the listing I did check it didn't say glass only before posting this.

these listings serve more as ads, so in order to appear higher in the search results, he can afford even a small loss.

Most people will probably contact him directly.

but he might be using non-OEM parts too.
