What about a bank transfer? Would your Dad be willing to transfer the money that way?

An Unpaid Item dispute has been opened for the following item: Pearl P120 P Bass Drum Pedal - NEW (#7385292944)
Reason given for Unpaid Item: The buyer has not paid for the item.
Buyer actions reported by seller: The buyer's payment has not been received.

Don't bother, because chances are they'll tarnish your own feedback with -ve feedback.

That depends, are you willing to risk a negative on your feedback? If so, you should leave feedback. If not, the limit to leave feedback is 60 days IIRC, so just wait 59 days, 23 hours and 59 minutes before leaving feedback and he can't leave any for you?

The thing is the auction showed bank transfer and cheque ONLY, yet his dad only accepts Paypal. What the! :D

So is there some sort of eBay refund on unsold products?

If eBay find he hasn't paid then if he puts a negative on your account then it won't count.

And his attitude seems very blase. He's decided not to proceed? Erm.....what? Does he actually know what eBay is?

Write him a polite but firm e-mail pointing out that a legal agreement exists between you, which he agreed to when he signed up for ebay, and that you both need to agree to do so in order not to proceed with the deal. Even better, send him a link to the section of ebays T&C that tells him that.

And finish with something like "I look forward to receiving your payment within 7 days." Not getting insulting or threatening, but telliing him exactly where he stands.
