Looking around the forum, a lot of people recommend eBay for things like Graphics Cards. I have been looking about the Bay, but I cannot find any decent deals, most are actually the same price new, or some actually selling for more..... Am I missing something? :P

LOL Yeah... Missing a brain! Buying that sort of stuff from ebay you may as well play Russian roulette. Even Amazon is getting a shocking rep at the moment as some scumbags are taking them for a ride ripping them off by returning old/faulty/fake cpus and they just are not checking them when they are returned. So they go back into stock and then someone else gets that crap, they return and Amazon refund/replace. Buy from a recognised and reputable etailer such as Overclockers for piece of mind.

Just my opinion.

Don't worry I will. But a lot of people that are helping spec PC's are recommending going to the Bay for a good deal second hand...

Have bought plenty of cards at bargain prices on eBay. Just check the sellers feedback.

It's a crap time to buy a GPU unfortunately.

As others have said, just spend a bit of time looking at the sellers history. Ebay can be a risky place but as long as the feedback is good and their account hasn't been hacked you'll probably be alright. Keep a close eye on the prices you pay though - consider risk as part of the deal, ie, anywhere new price walk away. And take anyone's promise to help you in case of a warranty claim with a pinch of salt, price up in your mind what you think something is worth assuming it has no warranty at all and bid no more.
I sell occasionally on eBay and always treat others how I would expect to be treated, that is, good comms and ensuring the item gets to the buyer swiftly and safely. There are good seller out there.

With ebay , take all the above advive but also decide what you want, stick to it, and keep looking, it can take many weeks. Quite a few retailers on there , some with very silly prices (£350+ for 1060GPU?) . Any GPU is quite? likeley to have been used in a mining rig despite what the owners claim Caveat Emptor!

Got myself a bargain on eBay at the wkd but it's a lottery and depends very much on the integrity and honesty of the seller (and being at the right place at the right time).
i happened to get hold of an i7 7800x for 260 and a x299 msi m7 board barely a week old for 300. Basically I've saved nigh on 200 quid which has gone towards a h115i and a nzxt Usb hub.
