The below is originally taken from a well know Trusted Reviews site which I won't link to due to hardware e-tailor adverts on the site. The article explains new Ebay changes which it will be implementing...

Drawing a big sucky negative however is the site's bizarre decision that Buyers will now only be able to receive positive Feedback (I kid you not), while a member who is suspended will have all their negative and neutral feedback removed making it seem a desirable achievement for some.

This seems totally ridiculous to me....and if that wasn't enough -

eBay is raking more in on Final Value Fees (the percentage taken when an item sells) raising its cut from 5.25 per cent to a hefty 8.25 per cent

Official eBay press release - http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200801.shtml#2008-01-29054823

They take 8% fees, then if the buyer uses PayPal you're shafted twice.

Don't use ebay :(

It really is horrendous. I'm simply not going to use PayPal again - It just costs too much and I have 60+ 100% feedback, so it hopefully won't put buyers off :(

Paypal really really dislike me.

I have an email from one of their top bods saying I should take my business elsewhere as my types are not welcome or catered for by their business.

I have a copies of said email saved in a few very secure locations just in case I need it.

What on earth?! Post it on here! Obvious star names etc etc out...

I think ill repost this without the obvious bios of the OP, of there inability to read the press release...

I never said I was impartial...but if you had read my original post you would notice that I am actually quoting someone else on a reviews site rather than offering my interpretation on the press release, I am offering my interpretation on his interpretations :)

jeese, im sorry, i didnt realise that to quote a press release from Ebay it had to be that solved every problem ever!

Problem: Bad Sellers
Solution: This Press Release

Problem: Bad Buyers
Solution: Somthing else!

Christ! Some people!

I don't think he's getting at you per se, rather that eBay are offering solutions to problems that ask further questions of their whole system...

Have some kind of medium / middle man between transaction, e.g. electronics verified by a licensed eBay middle man e.t.c. before putting up for sale or before posting for is an idea I thought of awhile back but adds more hassle, time and definitely cost. But it's still an idea to go into.

That would simply never work...
