Renaming the selling fee to 'buyer protection fee' didn't seem to do anything except it's much lower than what it used it to be. Also, no more waiting for 80% off fees weekends.
Other than those two changes, it's pretty much the same, so can't complain. The only problem I've had is a buyer who opened a case claiming someone stole the package from their doorstep. I called eBay and said it was simple delivery so not my problem, they agreed, closed the case and refunded the buyer themselves. Took about 15 minutes and I could move on with my day.
